EGAR
Educational Games & Resources
Award-Winning
EGAR Educational Games and Resources are dedicated to the art of
communication, conversation and the value of talking. They design
structured education resources for intervention and prevention work,
giving you solutions, covering Health, Crime Prevention, Personal
Development, Citizenship and the
Environment, helping children to learn about themselves and the world
around them. All resources have been tried and tested with many positive
testimonials available at www.egar.co.uk
“EGAR produce interactive educational games for young
people, which are designed to stimulate structured discussion on vital topics
for young people, such as knives, climate change and drugs. This excellent
project deserves much wider recognition and I would love to see it made
available to all London based Youth Services.” The Chair of London Assembly
Darren Johnson
What we do and why?
EGAR have created an
expanding range of SEAL/PSHE Let's Get Talking 'Choice' Discussion card sets
and Display Message Posters for youth workers, mentors, teachers, counselors
and parents to use to help them get children and young people talking about the
issues that matter in their lives. The cards are simple to use saving you time
and energy and focus on PSHE/SEAL learning for life skills that can be used as
an additional or recreational curriculum tool. This leads to better decision-making
and more healthy informed choices, which in turn provides opportunities for
young people to improve their lives and well-being.
